Silver Cast Resin Letters

Silver Painted Cast Resin and composite Letters. Oasis letters sign project. The letters were made 15″ high in a Garamond Bold Font. The 3D letters were 20mm thick and had brass locators on the back for fixing to the shop sign by the customer. The customer wanted Garamond Bold. We had Garamond in our standard list for moulded letters but not Bold, so we offered the customer the letters in cast resin instead. Making letters in cast resin allowed us to produce the letters as requested.

Brushed Gold Cast Resin Letters

Brushed Gold Painted Cast Resin Letters.

The word ‘take2′ was made for a shop sign, the letters measured 250mm high, 25mm thick, They had brass locators on the back.
This type of lettering is ideal for shop signs as well as for architectural signage as the letters should last for decades, They will not rod or rust. They may need repainting at some point in the future.

This is a new product and we are still working on ways to make them as the proccess at the moment requires a long lead time.

New Blog

Just started a new blog to put some images of our 3D letters on and drive traffic to one of our other websites.

Antique Effect 3D Letters

Over the years we have spent a lot of time making 3D letters in stainless steel, moulded acrylic, styrofoam. MDF and now cast resin.
The cast resin letters that we make are manufactured in two different ways. One way is to use a silicon mould and fill with a polyester resin. The second method we use a one use mould and fill it with a resin then we break the mould to release the letter.

The second method is not cost-effective and takes too long to make. Still, we have enjoyed messing about with projects so we still produce these for the challenge.

3D Letters made from solid cast resin

A short tutorial video on how to fix 3D letters with brass stand off fixings.

These letters are made from solid cast resin, they are 250mm high by 30mm thick. The letters weigh about 2kg each, they were painted in a brushed silver finish. This particular job was done for an interior design project in London.

3D Cast Resin Letters

The Number 5

The number 5 made from fastcast resin. The letter was first carved out of a dense foam in reverse, I removed the letter and kept the backing material, I then filled the backing material with the resin, when the resin had gone off hard I removed the cast letter and disposed of the one use mould. The result is a rustic looking cast resin letter. The texture is the result of the cell structure from the hand carved mould. This was an interesting project to do. There may be a market it if sold to interior designers or architects. The benefit of these letters is that they will not rust or rot and if fitted on a building they should last the life of the building.

I will probably continue to work on this method of producing 3D letters as I think they are a nice alternative to what is on the market.

We have completed a small number of jobs using this method of producing 3D letters, for florists, an art shop, tattoo shop and for a church where they were looking for something different and wanted the letters to last a long time.
